On Friday the Western Plains High School Lady Bobcats and Bobcat Boys both traveled to Dighton to take on the Dighton High School Hornets.
Junior Lady Bobcat Beth Lutters led the girls in scoring with five points, and the Cats lost, 49-16.
Freshman Hope Klitzke had four points, all from the free throw line, and junior Britny Pfannenstiel also had four. Junior Kim Martin rounded out the scoring with three points of her own.
The boys played the Hornets a little closer. However, they too lost, 51-42.
Senior Eric Dysinger had 16 points, freshman Casey Kraus had nine, senior Shane Corsiar had six, junior Chase Rein had six and freshman Colton Rein put in one free throw.
Tonight the Bobcats host the team from Pawnee Heights.
Varsity action begins at 6:30 p.m. in Ransom.
