Of all the Western Plains High School Bobcat competitors, senior Eric Dysinger was the only one who qualified for the KSHSAA State Track Meet in Wichita on the campus of Wichita State University.

He qualified in long jump with a jump of 20 feet, 2 inches.

On Friday, he vied for a state title. He only jumped 19-feet, 10-inches.

He did not make finals, but Head Coach Travis Schafer said he was proud of the effort and happy Dysinger was able to experience State Track as a senior.
