Starting Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, the WPHS volleyball team will begin practicing with tw0-a-days on Aug. 16, 17 and 18.
The times for these practices will be at 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
A bus will leave Bazine at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. each of these three practice days.

Lady Cats make progress during season
Western Plains High School Lady Bobcats head coach Travis Schafer didn’t have a lot of notice before he took over the program for the 2009-10 basketball season, but he said he was glad he got the opportunity.

Tuesday night the Western Plains High School Lady Bobcats traveled to Ness City High School in Ness City to take on the inner-county rival Eagles. It was the opening round of regional play for the Lady Cats. A win would have put them one step closer to a sub-state berth.

Regional action begins today
Today the Class 1A Regional Tournament for Region No. 9 kicks off. It is being hosted by Otis-Bison High School in Hoisington. Opening round games are held at the higher seeded school’s court.
